Case Study · eCommerce Operations
From 11,858 to 2,183 rejected products.
A Merchant Center problem isn't always a “Merchant Center problem.” Sometimes it's a catalog, rules, imagery, data-source or ownership problem.

The problem
A catalog with thousands of rejections limits coverage, reduces the number of eligible products and ultimately affects Shopping and Performance Max. The challenge wasn't simply to “approve more products,” but to understand the patterns behind the rejections and fix them sustainably.
The approach
- Classify rejections by cause and recurrence.
- Prioritize errors with real commercial impact.
- Review data sources, images and attribute consistency.
- Coordinate fixes across Merchant Center, feed sources and internal teams.
- Validate results after each adjustment, avoiding manual fixes that cannot scale.
What matters
The improvement didn't come from “optimizing campaigns,” but from improving the infrastructure feeding those campaigns. Performance also happens before an ad ever enters an auction.
